Responsible for the purchasing of supplies and all other goods (including the safety equipments and materials, also for chemicals) at the most favorable price, quality and delivery.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains close surveillance on vendors performance in relation to their products conformance to our specifications and quality standards, services provided and pricing
- Monitor/Develop/Improve/maintain a purchasing system that is efficient and reliable for the vessels
- Responsible for sourcing, purchasing, settle orders and cooperate with the accounting department, regarding tracing and approve invoices
- Regularly review Company’s purchasing requirements
- Evaluate all requisitions, particularly engineering change implementations to minimize excess and obsolete inventory
- Maintain and update databases of available suppliers and prices information
- Negotiate prices and contract agreements for favorable deals, to achieve a significant favorable purchase price variance
- Close cooperation with the Senior purchasing officer and the technical superintendents
- Provide assistance and guidance to the management team onboard regarding supplies and safety equipment
- Full control and responsibility of supplied provision for ships and the office, and also on ships board stock of the personal safety equipment
