Education/Experience/Responsibilities

  • Minimum 5 years experience in the construction of aluminum vessels.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and assembly drawings.
  • Oversee construction to ensure best industry practices and techniques are utilized.
  • Ability to follow shop schedules and plan the work accordingly.  Identify and report conditions which could delay scheduled completion dates and budget overruns.  Propose solutions to such situations.
  • Responsible for training assembly team and coordinating with representative of Project Management, Engineering, Quality Control and Production.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and ability to accomplish the required assignments within the designated time frames.
  • Must understand the applicable regulatory body rules.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to perform job duties with little supervision.
  • Must be an excellent communicator, both written and oral, and have the ability to identify and report any and all problems and discrepancies.
  • Depending on the project, this job classification may require that you be certified and/or licensed on heavy equipment operation, overhead cranes and diesel, gas, or electric powered forklifts.

Summary Statement

 

The Aluminum Construction Manager must have a broad knowledge of fabrication and assembly processes used during the construction of aluminum vessels.  Must be computer literate. He/she must comply with all safety procedures and guidelines and comply with all company issued policies, procedures, rules and regulations.  He/she must have an excellent work ethic, including excellent attendance, punctuality and the desire to complete designated work to a designated schedule.

Physical Demands

 

  • The employee must have correctable vision to 20/40, however contact lenses are not permitted in certain production area positions.
  • The employee must pass the Ishihara test for color blindness and have the ability to read and understand safety symbols and colors, (i.e. red, yellow, green, etc.).
  • The employee must pass a pulmonary function exam for positions requiring respiratory protection.
  • The employee must be able to stand, sit, walk, squat, kneel, stoop, or climb stairs or a ladder.
  • The employee must be able to carry tools and or equipment to their designated work area.  They could include but are not limited to the tools associated with their trade, or others as designated by their responsibilities.  The approximate weight could be as much as 75 pounds.

 

 

 

Work Demands

 

  • The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to respirator, hardhat, face shield, safety goggles, safety shoes (steel toe), safety harness, gloves or other protective clothing as determined by a Senesco Marine Job Hazard Analysis.
  • The employee must report all accidents or injuries to their supervisor and the Environmental Safety and Health Department.
  • The employee must report to their supervisor any and all damages to equipment or broken/misused tools.
  • The employee may be working in several different areas and environments; this includes work inside and outside of buildings or structures.
  • The employee needs to work at a pace consistent with meeting company deadlines.
