Hiring: Marine Electronics Trainee Engineer – Navigation & Communication Systems

UME Maritime Services is looking for a motivated and technically inclined Marine Electronics Trainee Engineer to join our Marine Electronics team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of marine navigation and communication equipment.
• Support senior service engineers during onboard vessel attendance and service assignments.
• Gain hands-on experience with Radar, ECDIS, AIS, GPS, Gyrocompass, Autopilot, Echo Sounder, GMDSS, VHF, MF/HF, Inmarsat, and other marine communication systems.
• Assist with equipment testing, calibration, fault diagnosis, and technical reporting.
• Travel to vessels, shipyards, and ports as required for service activities.
• Maintain service records, reports, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with customers, principals, and internal teams when required.

Candidate Profile:

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Marine Electronics, Communication Engineering, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of electronics, electrical systems, communication, and networking.
• Strong interest in marine navigation and communication technology.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel and work onboard vessels when required.
• A valid UAE driving license would be an advantage.
