Key Responsibilities:
Install and service electrical wiring, components, and systems on ships, yachts, and other marine vessels
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using testing devices and technical manuals
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and marine electrical codes
Perform maintenance on batteries, lighting systems, switchboards, and communication/navigation equipment
Ensure all work complies with marine safety regulations and industry standards
Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and shipyard staff to complete projects on time
Document all work performed and maintain accurate service records

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Marine Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on a variety of marine vessels. This role requires strong technical knowledge of marine electrical systems, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school preferred
2+ years of experience as a marine or industrial electrician
Proficiency with AC/DC systems, generators, and control panels
Familiarity with U.S. Coast Guard and marine safety standards
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights when needed
- MMC (Merchant Mariner Credential), valid medical card, and TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) are required
