Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and service electrical wiring, components, and systems on ships, yachts, and other marine vessels

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using testing devices and technical manuals

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and marine electrical codes

  • Perform maintenance on batteries, lighting systems, switchboards, and communication/navigation equipment

  • Ensure all work complies with marine safety regulations and industry standards

  • Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and shipyard staff to complete projects on time

  • Document all work performed and maintain accurate service records

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Marine Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on a variety of marine vessels. This role requires strong technical knowledge of marine electrical systems, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school preferred

  • 2+ years of experience as a marine or industrial electrician

  • Proficiency with AC/DC systems, generators, and control panels

  • Familiarity with U.S. Coast Guard and marine safety standards

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights when needed

  • MMC (Merchant Mariner Credential), valid medical card, and TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) are required
