• Conducted comparative analyses of International Labour Standards, providing support to the Maritime Unit of the International Labour Standards Department of the ILO with the compliance of Member States under Article 22 Reports related to the application of the Work in Fishing Convention.
• Conducted research and provided inputs on various knowledge products, drafted reports and policy briefs such as Working Paper on Bilateral Agreements for Migrant Fishers and UN Secretary-General's report on 'Oceans and the Law of the Sea.
• Conceptualizing ideas for raising awareness and coordinating promotional activities and communication for the Ratification Campaign for the Work in Fishing Convention. This has included orchestrating a far-reaching communication strategy reaching out to governments and other relevant stakeholders. ILO focal point for the 2019 World Oceans Day activities producing and disseminating informational material.
• Representing the ILO at international conferences and seminars such as World Maritime University 2019 International Women’s Conference; 2019 FAO Regional Technical Seminar: Joining forces in the fisheries sector: promoting safety, decent work and the fight against IUU fishing; speaker at the 2019 KNect 263 Women in Shipping Summit.

• Conducted research for Report for discussion for the Sectoral meeting on the recruitment and retention of seafarers and on the promotion of opportunities of women seafarers.

• Participated in the Tripartite Meeting on issues relating to Migrant Fishers and the Fifth Conference of the Regulating
for Decent Work 2017.
• Conducted research on the status of the implementation of the Work in Fishing Convention, 2007 and the Maritime
Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC, 2006) particularly in African countries. This involved providing inputs on the
revision and updating of the Frequently Asked Questions of the Work in Fishing Convention.
• Assisted in the organization of and participate in workshops and seminars; assisted in précis-writing and servicing
of meetings; assisted in the preparation of reports, training materials, speeches and presentations.

Focal areas: constitutional and administrative law, realisation of rights under international and national law.
• Within the Research and Advisory Unit, I conducted legal research primarily on Constitutional and Administrative
Law matters. Provided input on discussion papers and research on the proposed Child Justice Bill, National Peace
and Reconciliation Bill, Environmental Laws and Marriages Act and the Health Services Bill. Participated in
stakeholder meetings during the Constitutional alignment process in Zimbabwe. Fostering relationships with expert
bodies, policymakers and government officials to facilitate the process.
• Planned and implemented of a project titled “Promoting the Right to Information for the Protection and Fulfilment
of Socio-economic and Environmental Rights in Zimbabwe”, this project entailed providing technical support in
order to further citizen’s right of access to information for the fulfilment of their Socio-Economic and Cultural Rights
conducting desk-based research as well as field work. Conducted community engagement sessions to raise awareness
on the access of right to information and mobile legal aid clinics to provide technical legal support. Coordinated with
government officials, collaborating nongovernmental organisation and civil society partners to reach the project
