(2006 to 2012)

-Senior Technical Engineer

*Worked in association with vendors, naval architects and subcontractors in the development and execution of special projects including equipment replacement and upgrades, vessel repowering, installation of push systems and other major structural modifications.

*Supervised and guided the technical engineering team in administering the bidding process for major vessel repairs.

*Expanded the budgeting process to include voyage repairs, PMP projects and repair parts.

*Continued responsibilities for preparation of bid packages and annual budgets for maintenance, repair and special projects.

(2002 to 2006)

-Technical Engineer

*Designed and implemented a complex and intricate (zero-base) budgeting process for major vessel repair and modification projects.

*Developed estimating tools used to generate budgetary costs for craft category repairs.

*Responsible for preparation and presentation of annual budgets and justification for all major vessel repair and modification projects.

*Assisted in the management of vendor services/completion of voyage repairs.

*Continued the administration of the bidding process for vessel repairs.

*Established and maintained a system for writing repair specifications, evaluating bids and awarding major maintenance projects based on cost and time effectiveness.

*Coordinated with vendors, vessel crews and subcontractors to generate accurate and complete scopes of work.

*Received proposals from prospective contractors and prepared spreadsheets for comparing bids.

*Assisted management in the comparison of bids and awarding projects.

*Ensured that all repairs were completed in accordance with ABS and USCG survey recommendations.

*Provided technical support to other departments and vessels as required.
