Skils

I have been excellently trained by Maersk, AMCV, ATC, Keystone, Texaco and SUNY Maritime College in all aspects of shipboard functions, on numerous types of vessels. I feel very confident of my bridge and cargo watchstanding abilities. At all 5 companies, the mates are given a great deal of responsibility and I consistently live up to it; while at Maritime, as a watch officer/instructor, I had the experience of supervising and aiding in the training of numerous cadets. The Tonnage Center showed me the other side of the work force and I became well versed in the shore side operations of a shipping company. While at Maersk I have worked on ammunition, TAGOS, special operations & LMSR vessels, thereby gaining tremendous knowledge of the military aspect of sailing. I have excellent organizational & computer skills, am easily adaptable to new situations and practices, very punctual, take pride in my work, and undertake all my jobs and responsibilities in a timely and expeditious manner.

I am currently employed as Chief Mate on a LMSR with Maersk; however, am looking to move ashore. I am particularly interested in becoming a maritime consultant/researcher for a company, possibly an admiralty law firm. I have excellent research skills and really enjoy a challenging research task.
