Marine Service Technician

Based on experience

Mechanical skills for use of machinery and tools

Solid verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently

Experience in maritime industry is a plus

Basic knowledge of computers and office software


Repair/ maintain deck machinery on commercial vessels

Ability to work unsocial hours/ weekends/ holidays for varying vessel schedules

Frequent traveling required

Background check/ drug screen will be done

Working on site including but not limited to: bending, twisting, reaching overhead, crawling, working in tight spaces, lifting and pulling (at times over 50 pounds)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works both indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and exposure to loud noises from operating equipment. The employee may occasionally work in high, precarious places, steep slopes and on ladders. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme hot and cold as well as other types of inclement weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment under appropriate circumstances.
