- 5+ years of marine/ship-repair experience
- Mechanical background
- Experience working on vessels
- Experience with engine repairs/overhauls
- Pumps, compressors, valves and piping
- Hydraulic equipment
- Deck machinery
- Winches/windlass
- Marine cranes preferred
- Familiarity with welding/fabrication
- Ability to inspect machinery and identify faults
- Ability to prepare a repair scope
- Ability to supervise 5–30 technicians/workers
- Ability to deal directly with vessel officers
- Willingness to attend vessels at port, anchorage and offshore locations
- Good English communication
- Reasonable computer skills for quotations, reports and documentation
