Familiar in international codes & standards: such as ASME, API, AWS D1.1(Structural Welding Code), Including client / contractor specification & I.A.C.S (New building & repair standards)

Working with DRY DOCKS WORLD-DUBAI, Dubai- a Ship building, Conversion & Repairing yard as a QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

Area of Responsibilities in the above company:

* To carry out inspections of the steel structure during prefabrication , assembly and erection stages.

* To make inspection schedule & allot inspectors accordingly.

* Witnessing Pneumatic, Hose & Vacuum tests

* Maintaining traceability for weld joint NDT & Documentation

* To carry out NDT such as MT, PT on the weld joints



MAJOR PROJECT IN DUBAI DRYDOCK’S (REPAIR AND CONVERSION)



March-2007 to October- 2007: SEAMEC PRINCESS

CONVERSION OF CABLE LAYING TO DIVING SUPPORT VESSEL

Fabrication, Erection & Tank Testing (offshore project)



* 100% traceability for weld joint NDT & Documentation



* Field inspections like fit up, Final visual of welded joints.



* Preparation of inspection reports such as daily welding reports and all related documents.



* Daily surveillance of daily welding and welding consumables.



* Monitoring weekly and monthly welder’s performance.



* Witnessing Pneumatic, Hose & Vacuum tests

* Preparation of inspection reports for final acceptance.



OCTOBER -2007 to Till date: FPSO FRADE.(conversion project)



FPSO FRADE( FLOATING, PRODUCTION, STORAGE & OFF LOADING)

Fabrication, Erection & Tank testing.

* Fit up, final visual of welded joints & Structural inspection with class & clients.



* Preparation of inspection reports such as daily inspection reports, final class & client report for

final documentation

* Conducting weekly weld & structural Audit.



* Conducting & coordinating NDT – MT/UT/ RT on weld joint as per NDT plan & given specifications.

* Conducting vacuum test on erection joint

* Reviewing final documentation prior to submission for client

* Checking the Marking and lofting of the drawings .

* Scheduling and making production planning for the fabrication, erection and welding of the

Structure.

* Carrying out inspections such as fit up, final visual inspection during prefabrication, assembly and erection stages with class and client.

* Carrying out Estimation of material for the next stage of production.
