Summer 2004 Summer Sea Term I
Experience working in a group under leadership of others. Tasks included maintenance, basic seamanship and terrestrial navigation.
Summer 2005 Summer Sea Term II
Took on basic leadership roles to complete assigned work. Tasks included celestial navigation, tides and currents, keeping of log book and basic radar use.
December 2005 McAllister Towing, Staten Island, New York
to January 2006
Winter Cadet Observer position awarded first though SUNY Maritime College and accepted by McAllister. First hand practical knowledge of deckhand, house and engineering aspects of tug work.
