Objective
I would like to obtain employment in the marine industry, on deck if necessary with a goal eventually of getting my pilot's license and starting to work in the wheelhouse. eventually starting to work in the wheelhouse as a pilot.
Experience
Marquette Transportation Company 9/13-1/14 Tankerman Loaded and discharged petroleum cargoes. I got to brush up on both my deckwork and tankerman skills.
Chem Carriers Towing 7/12-10/12 Tankerman Loaded and discharged petroleum cargoes. I improved my deck and tankerman skills.
Settoon Towing 12/08-2/10 Tankerman Loaded and discharged petroleum. I learned how to use a thief and centrifuge in order to check for product integrity.

I graduated from Memorial Sr. High School in Houston, TX in 1976.

Skils
I have 16 years experience as tankerman. I started my towboat career as a deckhand with Bacon Towing in the Houston Ship Channel. I have worked on the GIWW from Mobile,ALA to Brownsville. Also I have experience on the upper and lower Mississippi River especially south of Baton Rouge towards the Head of Passes and surrounding waterways.
I am aware of how important it is to load to specifications. Also the making and breaking of tows. And to keep vessels clean and safe.
