From Jan. 06’ to Dec 06’ worked as Process Executive in Operation Deptt.

From Jan 07’ to till date working as Sr. executive in Operations Deptt.

Job Profile:

Operation Deptt.

Provide standard routing (cost effective with less transit time) to the agencies with the origin from Asia & Europe or connecting Europe and Asia to all major parts of the world as per their requirements in coordination with the Intermodal Manager, Line Manager & Trade Manager.

Generate standard and cost effective routings.

Direct and supervise work assignments in a productive and safe manner to a Team of 5 members.

Routing Adjustment by Cargo Planning as requested by the agencies.

Ensure external feeder closing well on time (two days after the vessel sailing date) for the ports within Asia region in coordination with the agencies.

Making Key Performance Index of team members as on weekly basis.

Generate monthly reports of the total no of bookings created (for the selected agencies of Asia and Europe region) and total no of bookings created with new origin or destinations in order to analyze the flow of cargo for new routings.

Keeping track of relevant changes in various rules and regulations for the movement of cargo (country wise rules) and also keep on updating the team members. Management of Updated database of routing in liaison with Intermodal Department at Regional Office Hamburg, Germany.

I have to look after all the Interline activities related to containers movement across the Asia. I have to look after the Operative close for feeder vessels as well as for the mainline vessels for Noraisa services and to do there approval. I have to look for the TDR (Terminal Departure Report) for both feeders as well as for mainline vessels and finally I have to give them approval. My most important task is to coordinate with agents to get all the closings done on time, so that payment to the company can be captured with in time.

Transport Deptt.

Container movement – check for the loading and discharge cargo confirmation of containers for the cargo ex Asia region (selected countries including India) for all the containers assigned for any particular booking (their loading on schedule vessel at the particular port) in coordination with agencies.

Ensure Vessel Closing (Operational, Documental/Administrative) well on time in coordination with the agencies.

Check for the Reconciliation of container and mainliner with the Agencies and inform to the RO at Hamburg, Germany.

Provide assistance to the Documentation Team for container tracking or information about the status of container as per their requirements.

Training experience to new comers about the different shipping terms and nature of Work of the department.

Educational Qualification

B.A English (Hons) with 49.5% marks from Dyal singh college, Delhi University.

Additional Qualification

Pursuing BCA from IGNOU 4th semester.
