Key Responsibilities (for new building and ship repair
As part of the engineering team, create equipment and piping layout for marine ship borne
systems in accordance with the international maritime rules and regulations. Provide piping
related calculations (pipe sizing, pressure drop, pump sizing ) whenever necessary.
Liaise with vendors for equipment selection and verification to meet design specifications.
Create P&ID through Owner’s specification requirements. Monitor quality design through
quality management system.
As for repair projects, provide piping and equipment layout as per Owner’s requirements.
Review specification changes for ship upgrade and refit with the project staff and Owner
Supervisor. Furthermore, do some ship checks for tasks on progress and upon completion.

Key Responsibilities (for new building )
As part of both management and technical team, manages the group’s (Machinery Piping,
Machinery Outfitting, Hull Piping and Hull Design teams) design schedules, design
quotations, performance and review. Responsible for Machinery Piping and Machinery
Outfitting teams’ communication and coordination with Japanese design engineers from pre-
design phase to project completion. Monitor the project design’s quality control to adhere to
company’s quality and safety standards, international codes and specifications through
quality management system. Conduct ship board inspection in relation to design enhancement.
Provide assistance to Surveyors and Owner’s Representative queries related to design.
Attend to auxiliary machineries testing performed by shipyard. Conduct sea trial and
deadweight measurement for newly built bulk carrier/car carrier. Experienced in shipyard
procedures and practices.
