Objective


Performance studies on HAMARA ST-5 stirling engine

Sponsor: Karnataka state council for science and technology.

Indian Institute of Science Bangalore.

Role: Interacting with clients regularly, literature survey, over hauling, drawings, fabrication of scaled model.

Synopsis: To evaluate the performance of HAMARA ST-5 engine, which we have received from CGPL, IISc Bangalore, by conducting detailed test. This involves carrying extensive load test and obtaining the performance by controlling parameters such as heat input and working fluid temperature.



Methodology: 1. Wood gasifier for heat input

2. Load test will be conducting using mechanical dynamometer

3. Measurement of gas flow and colorific value to determine the heat input.
