Master 500 ton Oceans

Objective


To find year round, full time, steady work as a 500 ton Oceans Master in the maritime industry. I would be willing to relocate or work overseas for the right position.


Experience


June 2004 to August 2007, Captain/Mate, Kwajalein Range Services

Worked as Captain and Mate on various US Army vessels transporting passengers, cargo, fuel, and other supplies in and around the lagoon at Ronald Reagan Missile Test Site, Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. Duties included but not limited to safe navigation of vessels, maintaining logbooks, supervision of crew, scheduling of maintenance, ordering of supplies, and working with other departments on Kwajalein to deliver supplies safely to remote islands.

May 1998 to May 2004 (Winters), Captain, Abdon Callais Offshore

Worked as First Captain on several crewboats in the Gulf of Mexico supporting the offshore oil and gas industry. Duties included but not limited to safe navigation of vessels, maintaining logbooks, supervision of crew, scheduling of maintenance, ordering of supplies, and working closely with oil companies to safely deliver crew and supplies to offshore locations.

May 1990 to Sept. 2003 (Summers), Captain, Nepenthean Sailing Charters

Worked as Captain and Operations Manager aboard a USCG Inspected 49 Passenger sail charter vessel conducting corporate and private dinner cruises around Boston Harbor and Massachusetts Bay. Duties included but not limited to safe navigation of vessel, maintaining logbooks, supervision and hiring of crew, scheduling of maintenance, ordering of supplies, and managing in house catering and bar operations. Also worked extensively with local yacht brokers to schedule charters and menu options with charter customers.
