Experience


5/03 to 8/09 US Bureau of Reclamation, Hoover Dam Police Department. GL-0083-8 Police Corporal. Responsible for the EMS Program, and Property/Inventory Control Programs. I established the Bar Code Inventory system for the Department. I established the EMT training program for the Department. I designed the new uniform shoulder patch and hat badge for the Department. While acting as an EMT Officer I have saved several lives while responding to serious traffic accidents. I have rappelled down 100 foot cliff to rescue a truck driver. As a Shift Lead Officer, I run the shift in the absence of the Watch Commander. I supervise 3 to 4 junior officers on the Mid Watch. I enforce Federal Law and the state laws of Arizona and Nevada. Serves as a Special Reaction Team Member, Tactical Medic, Field Training Officer. Completed the Mixed Basic Police Training Program at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Glynco, Ga. Completed the Colt M-16/M4 Armorers Course, and NRA Law Enforcement Precision Rifle Instructor Course. Attended various Nevada P.O.S.T. courses held by LVMPD that included; Auto Theft/VIN Switches, Crime Scene Investigation and Preservation, Tactical Supervision, Party Drugs, Street Drugs, Motorcycle Gangs, Street Gangs, and Crisis Intervention Team Training.

12/2002 to 05/2003; Police Officer; GS-0083-05, Department of the Army, Office of the Provost Marshal Fort Monroe, Virginia. Rank of Sergeant. Performs Law Enforcement duties that involve the investigation, arrest, apprehension or detention of criminals and/or suspected criminals, serves warrants, issues federal summons, makes arrests, testifies in federal court, provides police escorts and directs traffic. Completes detailed reports of incidents involving crimes against persons, property, and the U.S. Government. Responds to emergency and routine calls for service as a first responder.

Serves on Special Details such as Bike Patrol, and Special Response Team. Provides law enforcement, physical security for Fort Monroe Virginia. Physical Security duties include; mobile patrol, access control, assist military Police personnel when required to protect information, personnel, property, facilities, and material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage or loss. Certified in the use of the monadnock expandable baton, OC chemical spray, moving/stationary radar and laser unit, Beretta M9 Pistol, 12ga. shotgun, MP5 Submachinegun, M-16/M4 Rifle, and as an emergency vehicle operator. I am a sworn Conservator of the Peace, Commonwealth of Virginia. I hold a SECRET Security Clearance.

Security Force duties included; armed fixed security post sentry, shipboard and pierside, armed roving security patrol, shipboard and pierside, heavy weapons gunner, boarding team member, ships self-defense force member, weapons and tactics trainer. Served as shipboard security force member / trainer for over 7 years. Operator qualified with the following weapons; M1911A1 Service Pistol (rated EXPERT), M500/M870 Shotgun, M-14 Rifle, M-79 Grenade Launcher, M-60 Machinegun, M2HB .50 caliber Heavy Machinegun, MK-19 Automatic Grenade Launcher, indoctrination in the use of the handheld STINGER anti-aircraft missile launcher, and the 25mm Bushmaster deck gun. Thoroughly familiar with small boat operations. Coxswain and bow hook qualified. Second Class Swimmer Qualified.

I have 11 years active duty U.S. Navy experience as a Boatswains Mate First Class Petty Officer. I have been deployed to the middle east three times. To the Med. once. All but one year has been assigned to ships. I have served on the USS Richmond K Turner CG-20, USS Macdonough DDG-39, USS Saipan LHA-2 and USS Spruance DD-963. I hold every specialty qualification the BM Rate has. I have extensive small arms experience. Military qualified in the M-14, M-60, M2HB, M-79, M870/M590 Shotgun, M1911 Handgun, Sig 226, M-4/M-16, MK-19, and familiar with the operation of the shoulder launched STINGER.

I am qualified as a Colt/Bushmaster M-4/M-16 Armorer, HK MP-5/Rifle/Trigger Group/USP Armorer, HK Submachinegun Instructor, and NRA Law Enforcement Precision Rifle Instructor.

I have been a federal law enforcement officer for 9 years. I am SWAT Certified. Im a Field Training Officer and a National Registry Emergency Medical Technician.


 


I would prefer a contract job that doesnt require me to relocate from Las Vegas. Im looking primarily for an Anti/Counter Piracy Ship Rider (Armed) position.
