  • Serves as the initial on-site medic for routine medical issues for contractors and subcontractors; performs vital checks and diagnoses patients with minor symptoms and prescribes medication as necessary.
  • Responds to medical emergencies from hostile enemy attacks.
  • Responsible for administering on-site inoculations for required vaccinations, and drug and alcohol testing.
  • Works closely with on-site HSE management to assess work injuries and accidents, provides documentation to assist company with workers compensation claims.
  • Determines fitness for duty of contractors and subcontractors with senior HSE management.
  • Maintains medical records for on-site contractors and subcontractors.
    • Required to operate an emergency response vehicle and perform maintenance and inventory management on emergency equipment and supplies.
    • Single on-site medic for FOB NKC (New Kabul Compound), FOB Dahlke (Logar Province) and worked as part of a comprehensive team of medics at Bagram Air Field.

  • Operate advanced life support equipment such as electrocardiograms (EKGs), external defibrillators, 3 lead cardiac monitoring, ventilation and resuscitators such as c-pap and bi-pap.
