Find under declared fuel oil (including marine gas oil) on board the vessel.
Check all tanks designated for use of fuel oil (Including marine gas oil), including overflow tanks/day tanks/settling tanks/service tanks/slop tanks or any other thanks where it might reasonably be expected to find fuel oil.
Investigate the general arrangement of the vessel and find/report other under declared tanks and/or pipes that are storing fuel oil on board.
View the log book stating the book stock for each tank on board and make a copy or take a snapshot.
Verify the fuel oil stock/consumption declared from the last port of call and establish the true fuel oil quantity on board.
Check for any evidence of “fraud” like fuel leakages/theft/illegal activities/false documentations etc.
