Manager small facility, Master 100 gross tons,

I would like to manage small facility for ferry service or charter company.

I started fishing commercially at age 14 with family in Washington and Alaska. Currently and for the past 18 years I have worked for a County owned ferry in Washington State. Starting as a part time employee and woking my way to my current position as the Senior master. This title not only involves operating the( 200 long ton ) 91 gross ton ferry but also I manage 16 employees and I am involved with all aspects of Ferry operations including scheduling, hiring, safety, training and vessel maintenance. I have been recognized as a top performer for the County the last 5 years.

Most all of my education has been on the job training. However I am currently taking online courses in human resource and business management. I have taken numerous seminars through my employer for managing personel, computer classes, conflict resolution, fire fighting, first aid and diversity training.
