THE OPERATION & MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT OPERATES AND MAINTAINS POWER PLANTS ON BEHALF OF THE CUSTOMER ON A LONG-TERM BASIS, TO ENSURE HIGHER AVAILABILITY AND A MORE COST-EFFECTIVE OPERATION OF THE CUSTOMER’S POWER PLANT.
Since Aug. ’09 I am working with WARTSILA India Ltd. as a Company Engg. Trainee with after successful completion of my training now I am working as Executive Engg. at Hindustan Zinc Ltd. Chanderiya.
Plant Details: - 2x7.4 MW W18V32 HFO based DG sets.
CURRENT CTC: - 2.2 LACS
OPERATION & MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES:
? Attended the 16000 hrs. Scheduled Maintenance of 20V34SG (9.3 MW) Gas Engine at MCPL Malanpur (Gwalior).
? Attended Breakdown Maintenance of 16V32SG Gas Engine (6 MW) at Pratibha Sintex Indore.
? Deputed to BSL Bhilwara site several times to relieve Manager and I have successfully run the engine(9R32LN) several times even in case of “Black Out”.
? Responsible for all activities relating to operations, management of Power Plant, implementations of Plant Operations, Schedules and Procedures.
? Planning & effecting preventive maintenance schedules of various machinery and instruments to increase machine up time thereby accomplishing planned targets within budget.
? Responsible for training & ensuring that all operations & maintenance related activities are carried out with full safety without any human injury & without equipment damage.
? Effective & efficient trouble shooting in case of breakdown & take steps to rectify the equipments.
? Regular communication with internal customer to meet plant requirements.
? Developing of standard maintenance and operation procedures to increase the efficiency of plant.
? Complete and maintain all Logs & running records in a clear & concise manner according to guidelines.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES:
? Preparing & Maintaining OHSAS documents & providing technical training to subordinates and operators.
? Implementation of 5”S” within the whole Plant.
? Collecting data for preparation of daily, weekly & monthly report on energy generation, fuel consumption and maintenance activities.
? Assisting other WARTSILA sites during trouble shooting.
Taken Projects for continual improvement as a Team leader & Team member
? As a Team Member in a project “To arrange for alternate source of Steam supply for keeping the system in Hot standby condition during standby operation of DG sets”. There by reducing daily 25000Ltr LFO consumption in Oil Fired Boiler, there by savings for the customer. For this project team was declared a winner for the best 3E champions project by WARTSILA India Ltd for the Year 2009.
? As a Team Leader completed a project “Modification in Air Line Between Starting air & Instrument air” by fitting a NRV in line after PRV and keeping the valves before & after PRV open continuously, thereby preventing closing of pneumatic operated Quick closing valves in fuel line, when instrument air compressor trips / Shutdown, which was leading to unnecessary tripping of DG’s. Project submitted for 3E champions.
