Senior Electrical Engineer Rigid Construction

May 2005 onwards: Sharjah, UAE.



Rigid belongs to M/s Rigid Groups, a prominent locally promoted diversified group, and mainly doing the Construction Works based on steel building like Warehouses, Factories & Offices since 1979 in Gulf.



KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:



• Department administration of Electrical Section



• Project management of Electrical and Multi discipline jobs



• Scrutinize the Tender Drawings & Documents



• Prepare quotations as per the electrical drawings



• Estimation of the Complete Electrical works, Plumbing / Drainage works, Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm Services etc according to DEWA/SEWA/FEWA rules and regulations



• Rate Analysis



• Preparing Budgetary Price.



• Preparing Comparative Statements for the Sub-Contractors Quotations / other Suppliers Price



• Price Negotiating with the Sub-Contractors / other Suppliers



• Coordinating with Structural & Civil Engineers and Draftsman



• Preparing Bill of Quantities



• Preparing the Tender / Turnkey Bid offers (Letters)



• Project Follows up to the Finalization



• Coordinate meetings, resolve ambiguities and impediments in the site.



• Preparations of the MEP shop Drawings for taking approval from JAFZA and SAIF Zone, Sharjah.



• Preparations of the MEP shop Drawings as per the contract agreement for taking approval from DEWA/SEWA/FEWA, Civil Defense Dubai/Sharjah, and Etisalat.



• Familiar with electrical, Fire Fighting &Fire Alarm designing of Offices, Warehouses & Factories.



• Preparing the Clarification Letter to Consultant/ Client,



• Sending Enquires for getting Sub-Contractors Quotations / Suppliers Price



• Report directly to the Technical Manager.



Main Projects involved



Factory at Saif Zone, Sharjah for M/S Rigid Industries.



Factory at DIP, Dubai for M/S Corrotech Construction Chemicals.



Factory at Industrial Area-v11, Sharjah for M/S Gulf Scan.



Factory at Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah for M/S Lefebvre Gulf BSC.



Submarine Cable Storage Depot at Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah for M/S Etisalat.



The Cost of project From 10,00,000 Dhs/- to 100,00,000 Dhs/-. The above projects were completed including all activities and handed over to Client in time.



Electrical Engineer M/s. Star Home Construction

May 2002- April 2005 Kochi, India.



M/S Star Homes Construction is one of the big Developers in India &They are doing Multistoried Buildings& Villas in multiple places in India.



KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:



• Involved in all works from project execution to commissioning, Preparing Project details, engineering documents like project schedule & load schedule etc.



• Electrification of buildings, Interpret distribution single line diagrams.



• Supervision and execution of electrical work as per drawings.



• Analyzing and executing electrical drawings as per standards.



• Trouble shooting the electrical equipments and coordination of installations & commissioning jobs.



• Preparation of electrical costing and estimation.



• Specification of purchased equipments and parts.



• Provided assistance in assembly and testing of equipments & system



• Coordinating with Junior Engineers, Labour management and preparing their monthly / weekly wages, Taking site measurements, preparing Quantities, Preparing Monthly Bill / Final Bill for the Project and finally submitting the Bill to Client, etc.



Projects involved



• Multistoried Residential Apartments & Villas Building Developments, located at Cochin, were developed on a fast track basis and had two-bedroom flats, One-Bed Room Flats, Residential Villas. The Villa of Cost From INR 5,00,000/- to 25,00,000/-. The project was completed including all finishing activities and handed over to Client in time.



Assistant Engineer In-Charge in 66 kV Substation Kerala State Electricity Board

October 2000 - April 2002 Alapuzha, Kerala



M/s Kerala State Electricity Board is fully under Government of Kerala & having the monopoly to do all Power System networks such as Generation, Transmission & Distribution Systems



KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:



• Operation and maintenance of substation



• Issuing permit to work on EHT transformers & line



• Testing & commissioning of Transformers, breakers and current & voltage transformers



• Operation & maintenance of Lead Acid battery & battery charger



• Having the deep knowledge about the power systems, CT’S, PT’S &Control Circuits.



• Key role about the designing of the substations till the capacity up to 110 kV.



• Day-to-day supervision of Sub Engineers, Electricians and there workload



• Having the capability to conduct the Shut Down work of the plant independently



• Ensure timely finalization of vendors for equipments, materials and smooth flow of constructional activities



• Coordinate meetings, resolve ambiguities and impediments/good coordination with other contractors such as Civil, HVAC, Lifts and plumping etc.



• Coordinating with Junior Engineers, Labour management and preparing there monthly / weekly wages, Taking site measurements, preparing Quantities, Preparing Monthly Bill / Final Bill for the Project and Finally submitting the Bill to Higher authority/ Senior Engineers, etc.
