I would like to resume command of a research/luxury/commercial liner. Having been out at sea since the age of 17, I have developed a passion for sailing on motor vessels. I have risen through the ranks and had assumed command for the first time in 2011. I have gained extensive experience sailing on commercial vessels and would like to use the skills I have acquired to the safe operations of vessels I will command in the future.
I have been sailing as a master with Angloeastern group on their dry bulk fleet. My last vessel had a DWT of 53617 and was equipped with cranes and grabs. I have sailed as a chief mate on capesize and panamax bulk carriers. I have also sailed on VLCCs and smaller oil tankers as mate. My total sea experience includes 11 months on VLCCs, 13 months on crude oil tankers, and a total of about 72 months on bulk/general cargo vessels.
