Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration or in a related field of study.

Minimum of 3 years related experience required.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Description

Job Summary:

The Inside Sales & Purchasing Agent will be responsible for the day-to-day procurement of electrical parts for projects and sales to various customers, mainly marine related (mega-yachts, cruise ships, commercial shipping, shipyard facilities and marinas, and internal departments).

Basic logistics, parts co-ordination, inventory control, shipping and receiving functions will also be required. The position will require direct customer and vendor interaction in person as well as via email and telephone. Computer work will be required using Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Project and Business Central ERP system.

The person is also responsible for the on-time delivery and follow-up of ordered parts.

Experience with electrical systems, parts and equipment is strongly preferred.

 Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Handling customer requests for parts and equipment
  • Creating Sales Quotes, Purchase Requests, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders and Invoices in Business Central ERP system
  • Locating parts and equipment and creating items item numbers and item cards in ERP system
  • Identifying potential suppliers and negotiating pricing
  • Picking up orders from suppliers and delivering to customers
  • Receiving incoming shipments in warehouse
  • Wrap, box, pack outgoing shipments
  • Generate packing slips and commercial invoices for shipments
  • Contact various logistics shipping companies to schedule pickups, address shipping questions, drop-off etc.
  • Organize and clean warehouse locations for parts and shipping and receiving functions
  • Inventory counts
