The successful candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office computer applications and pass a company physical. Candidate must be capable of working effectively with minimal supervision and be on call 24 hours a day. Candidate must be capable of being physically mobile on a vessel, in a shipyard and in a port facility. Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen able to obtain a Department of Defense (DOD) secret clearance and Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC card). Bachelor's Degree required as well as a U.S. Merchant Mariner's License is required. Prior experience sailing as an officer aboard a U.S. Flag vessel and shore side employment in the Maritime Labor Relations field is highly desirable for the candidate. Equivalent shore side experience in the Maritime Human Resources and Labor Relations field may be considered in lieu of sea time. Basic knowledge of USCG rules and IMO/ILO conventions is necessary.
Administrator of Fleet Human Resources and Labor Relations will understudy and assist the Manager of Fleet Human Resources in the area of labor contracts and industrial relations for all Keystone Fleets. The Administrator will participate in recruiting, hiring, training, staffing and promotion of seafarers aboard all company vessels to ensure that properly trained, certificated and medically fit personnel are assigned. The candidate will also be expected to liaise with the various maritime unions with whom we have contracts. There is worldwide travel associated with this position as well as company representation in select industry forums. The salary is negotiable based on experience.
