Work Experience
2006-2009 Docking Pilot (Civil Servant) for United States Navy at NOB 1986-2006 Assoc. of Va. Docking Pilots, 523 West 24th Street, Norfolk, VA 23517; Worked 60 plus hours per week, all shifts. Began my career dockings ships for Curtis Bay Towing (currently Moran Towing), docked several different types of ships for 23 years in all types of weather conditions, successfully piloted more than 10,000 ships and barges in and around Hampton Roads and trained several new Pilots.

United States Coast Guard Licensed Master of Steam or Motor Vessels of Any Gross Tons Upon Inland Waters; Master of Uninspected Towing Vessel Upon Inland Waters; Mate of Steam or Motor Vessels of Not More Than 1600 Gross Registered Tons (Domestic Tonnage), 3000 Gross Tons (ITC Tonnage) Upon Near Coastal Waters; First Class Pilot of Steam or Motor Vessels of any Gross Tons Upon the Elizabeth River, VA; Old Point Comfort to Town Point; Eastern Branch from the Town Point to Gilmerton Turning Basin; Hampton Roads, VA; Old Point Comfort to the James River Bridge; Chesapeake Bay, VA from Cape Henry to Old Point Comfort; Upon the York River from Tue Marsh Light to Pages Rocks Light; Radar Observer (Unlimited) . Other endorsements include; Able Body Seaman, successfully passed lifeboat exam, Tanker Grades B and below, completed courses in Firefighting and Lifesaving, Tractor Tug and Ship Handling at NOB.
