-Proficient in onboard and shore side vessel response plans in the event of oil spills (I have responded to oil spills)
-Familiar with hook up and break down of oil transfer procedures from vessel to vessel or shore to vessel and vice versa
-Proficient in mooring vessels securely to a mooring or pier/wharf terminal
-Able to read and calculate tides
-Proficient in shore to vessel communications (VHF Radio)
-Proficient in gauging / sounding tanks (Innage/Ullage)
-Able to read trim charts pertaining to vessel stability
