Work Experience
I have held many positions at sea and worked my way from the galley to the bridge as a 200T captain. I spent countless hours as night watchman. I crossed the Pacific Oceans numerous times from Fort Lauderdale to Subic Bay, New York to New Zealand, and many shorter deliveries from Kota Kinabalu to Hong Kong, Singapore to Phuket, Kota Kinabalu to Pattaya, PNG to Brunei, and the list goes on and on....

I was employed by OzSail, Whitsundays, Australia, Queensland as a charter captain on many different yachts, including Spank Me, Freight Train, and Hammer all old Maxi's. I have been through some very heavy weather conditions, including tropical storms and developing typhoons in the western Pacific.

Addition Info
I have a passion for the sea and am working on getting my ABYC electrical papers. I am very interested in continuing to upgrade and enhance the company I work for and my nautical skills.

I am a self-starter and I work well as a team or individually. I am good at self-motivating, and I finish what I start. I am a great asset to any team both as a leader and a follower. I am equally adept at playing both roles and quickly shifting from one to the other. My diverse skills: administrative, academic, and maritime are great assets which your company will benefit from. I am excited to apply for and be considered for this position. I continually educate and challenge myself by moving forward into new areas and excelling. I have delivered boats across oceans and been caught in very heavy weather and I discovered an unquestionable WILL and STAMINA. I learn many things outside my fields of study because I know all knowledge makes everyone of us a better thinker, adds to our problem solving ability, and our enjoyment of life.

I look forward to hearing from you and chatting about how I help your team achieve its goals and aspirations.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Have a gorgeous day.

Sincerely,
Ruth M. Smith
