Resume
Objective
I am currently seeking the job position of ORDINARY SEAMAN or DECK HAND on-board any sea-going vessel of any gross tonnage. I am well acclimated to the work and maintenance on deck and in the engine room

Work Experience
My last 8 years are in concrete pool and deck construction. My prior gulf experience is on large commercial fishing boats. From 1991-94 and 2000-2001, I worked at Dolphin Docks as a 1st mate. I can operate heavy equipment (excavators, bobcats, bulldozers, backhoes, forklifts) and most any gas, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic tools, as well as maintain and repair them.

I am capable of leading and following direction. I take the initiative to get things done and lead by example. I plan on working my way up in this industry through a good work ethic and safe work practices. I also plan on taking maritime classes for further certifications that will benefit me and my employer.

Best Regards,

Scott E. Tanner
