Survey Specialists, Inc. is a registered Marine & Cargo Surveyor engaged solely in P&I related cases which caters exclusively to the survey needs of the biggest P&I Correspondent in the Philippines.
As a P&I Surveyor, I inspected cargoes of sea going vessels, certify compliance with international safety regulations in cargo handling and stowage.
Peruse vessel documents that set forth cargo loading, securing procedures, capacities in order to ascertain cargo capabilities according to design and cargo regulations.
Assist the Master in stowing dangerous and heavy cargo such as the use of additonal support beams (deck bedding), shoring and additonal lashing materials, according to knowledge hazards present when shipping grain, logs, liquid cargo and the like.
Recommends remedial procedures to correct deficiencies and damages sustained by the vessel during her time of operation.
Perform pre-purcahse surveys in order to comprehensively exmaine the vessel and determine her condition, value and overall operation.
Conducts hull & machinery damage survey to determine the cause and extent of damage, cost of repairs as well as investigate and ascertain the cause of accident or equipment failure.
Conducts pre-loading surveys of steel products, in behalf of various P&I Clubs by hose testing the hatch covers to ascertain their tightness and recording the condition of the cargo prior to loading.
Weight establishment of cargo loaded/discharged by way of draft survey.
Cargo Oil tank inspection.
Attend surveys of damage to fixed or floating objects such as quays, buoys, shore side cranes and other vessels as well.
On/Off Hire Surveys (Hull Condition, Examination of Statutory Certificates)
Cargo quantity and condition, survey of containerized cargos, container surveys.
Loading/Discharging Full Superintendence. Issues timely and comprehensive survey reports after each assignment as well as timely preliminary reports (usually 24 hours after initial attendance)with digital photos attached.
Carry out P&I Pre-Entry Condition Surveys in behalf of various prominent P&I Clubs.
