FUGRO SEAFLOOR SURVEYS, INC. – Seattle, WA

Field Engineer
Role: Plan and execute seafloor survey operations, tests and mobilizations for AUV & towed-sonar systems.
Responsibilities: Write operational and equipment-test procedures. Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical & hydraulic equipment. Perform field ops including tow-fish / AUV launch & recovery. Plan and monitor AUV missions. Drive tow-fish & control data acquisition.
Survey equipment used: Multibeam, side-scan & sub-bottom profile sonars. Sediment Coring. Magnetometer.
Equipment / PC Use: Bluefin AUV operation & control software, Sonar data interface software, tow-fish sonar controls, electrical diagnostic meters, hydraulic cranes & machinery, Zodiac boat.

Installation Engineer
Role: Plan, design and implement large-scale offshore, subsea construction projects.
Responsibilities: Write operational procedures & analysis reports. Interface with client. Oversee subcontractors. Design seafastening/deck plans. Design/select project equipment & rigging. Schedule project phases. Perform risk assessments.
Offshore: Implement installation plans. Mobilize vessels. Maintain project records. Perform safety briefings. Devise contingency technical solutions. Provide engineering support for all vessel crews.
Project Experience: DP construction vessels with WROV & Diver capabilities. Installing an offshore LNG terminal (180-ton buoy, mooring system & flexible riser). On/Offshore execution of 36” pipeline project.
