Freelance Safety Advisor to MGS – Marine Geotechnical Services, Marseille, France.
Drilling rig mobilised onto support barge PONTRA MARIS. Drill spread worked on two projects for gathering sub seabed core samples of geological soil strata. The information was to be used in construction design for offshore windfarms. Project operated to CDM and company safety procedures.

Employed as Ship Inspector by Thomas Miller P & I Ltd, Managers for the UK P & I Club.
Duties consisted of worldwide travel for ship inspections as part of the UK Club’s loss prevention programme. Main areas of inspection, Cargoworthiness, Manning, Service & Maintenance, Safety, Operational Performance and Pollution Control.
Additional duties consist of advisory services to Club Members with regards to forming and implementing Safety Management Systems to comply with the ISM Code ( QA ). Advice to Members and monitoring the implementation of STCW 95 regulations and ISPS code. Approximately 1200 inspections completed on the entire range of vessel types.
