Job Description
The Technology Director - Liner Operations is responsible for the operational management and administrative direction of information technology (IT) operations for the Liner Operations business unit. Oversees the support and maintenance of existing systems and applications as well as the development of new technical solutions. Identifies hardware and software for purchase and directs implementation. Reviews project requests and assigns appropriate resources. Leads strategic planning and staffing responsibilities. Accountable for formulating and administering the department's annual operating budget as well as performing forecasting. Provides leadership and direction in policy and procedure development, enhancement and implementation. Develops and maintains partnerships throughout organization in order to attain departmental goals and objects. Ensures work is being performed in compliance with company standards.

- Ability to interface business applications with other systems.
- Knowledge of standard programming languages, concepts, practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of computer software and operating systems.
- Knowledge of terminal processes including, but not limited to, gate operations, cargo operations, yard operations, and maintenance/repair and equipment tracking/optimization.

Minimum of 8-10 years of related information technology management experience specific to implementing one or more of the following: terminal operating systems, maintenance and repair, equipment management and tracking, and/or CPS/RFID/OCR technologies.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
Advanced proficiency in software package selection and implementation, change management, project management and gathering business requirements using a structured methodology.
