Enviva is a leading supplier of sustainable wood biomass fuel in the United States and Europe. The company’s mission is to become the preferred partner and supplier of sustainable biomass fuels to industrial and energy utility customers seeking to improve the environmental profile of their operations. Enviva has been supplying wood chips and wood pellets to customers in the United States and Europe since 2007. Enviva operating facilities will represent more than 1,750,000 metric tons per year of annual capacity by 2014.
The prospective Enviva employee will work in Chesapeake, VA performing duties involved in pellet inventory tracking and quality sampling.
Employee Duties -
•Scale Trucks 20 hours/week
oNew pellet testing for customer deliveries
•Expedite / Test Bayou pellet samples
•Barge Sampling / Testing
oAfter certification / training, the Enviva employee will draft all barges
•Coordinate inventory tracking
oFacilitate the use of an access database for entering and tracking all pellet deliveries to and from the port.
•Track all plant sampling by day, truck, and barge
oCoordinate with Enviva Quality Director to track daily sampling at each plant with the destination barge
•Track inventory through the Barge Tracking Dashboard and Shipping Schedule (Enviva reports)
•Serve as primary liaison for all deliveries and trucking issues
It is anticipated that the employee will receive training to become knowledgeable and/or certified in surveying ocean vessels.
•Associate degree or Bachelor degree is preferred.
•Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment. Nautical or port experience desired.
•Must have experience working in a fast-paced environment and have strong attention to detail.
•Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Advanced knowledge preferred.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

oAbility to work physically outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
