|
Responsibilities
Maintains a database and analyzes monthly shipboard technical and marine consumption data. Works with Marine Department, Technical Operations and ship board staff to analyze and report data.
Produces technical consumption analysis data for monthly management report and circulation to shore side and senior fleet staff
Develops analysis criteria to assist ship board & shore side staff identify where support may be required & where energy conservation measures can be applied
Works with Fleet Maintenance Group to perform breakdown, reliability and cost analysis on specific equipment or machinery, including review of current pricing and historical data to determine sourcing/savings opportunities
Cleans, mines, and transforms financial spend data into meaningful & useful information for further cost optimization analysis.
Assists with collecting and compiling R&M, capital and overhead financial plans including dry dock and special projects
Assists Finance Manager with monthly financial reports and Cognos input specifically during financial plan development.
Oversee tracking of Incident Codes.
Prepares monthly Senior Management financial summary reports.
Maintains close control on port water budget & assists ships & shore staff with port water management.
Provides historical financial data as required by department heads.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance. MBA is preferred.
3-5 years’ experience performing technical analysis, preferably in a marine environment.
Experience managing & working with large amounts of data, price analysis and modeling.
Experience generating and presenting reports with an understanding of financial and economic concepts.
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of Business Objects, Cognos, and Oracle.
Ability to perform in-depth analysis of technical consumption data, technical breakdown data or supplier proposals.
