Starting with a handful of employees in a small warehouse in 1984, the Unitek Contracting Group today has over 150 highly skilled employees providing a proven and reliable single source for integrated services to property owners and facility managers. The Unitek Contracting Group provides specialty contracting services in Hazardous Material Abatement and Remediation, Mold Remediation, Flood and Fire Restoration, Maritime Insulation, Demolition, Thermal Insulation and Firestopping, Subbly Distribution, and Roll-Off Services. We know firsthand the importance of improving the quality, technology and diversity of our services to help make our communites safer for generations to come.
Perform cleaning, preparing of various surfaces, and sandblasting techniques. Mix paint, use of spray painting and other preservation methods. Dependent on work plans, must meet certain requirements set forth by SSPC and/or NAVSEA.
Qualifications:
Knowledge with shipboard/trade terminology & nomenclature. Hold SSPC certifications, current or expired.
Knowledge of C7, C12, & C14 preferred
Knowledge of SP 17
Experience Required:
Must have at least 2 years of marine or industrial blast/paint experience. Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
