Maintains operating logs and submits reports. Supervises crew on assigned shift, through assigning and reviewing work, and evaluation of subordinates. Conducts fire and collision drills on a regular basis. Inspects all equipment, machinery, rigging, and gear aboard vessel and orders needed repairs. Orders fuel, material, and supplies for the vessel. Assures that the vessel maintains schedule. This position is for a shift on LADOTD ferry boat. There are "No Living Quarters on vessel." This position is in Plaquemine, Louisiana or White Castle, Louisiana. Work is a rotating schedule of 8 hour shifts.
