Container Crane Manager
Major New Orleans, Louisiana Industry leader seeks a Container Crane Manager.
Hiring Range from $49,629 to $88,660 per year depending on qualifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manages container cranes (currently six), mobile gangways (currently two) and maintenance staff.
• Directs maintenance, construction and engineering of computer-driven container cranes, other container crane assets and gangways.
• Prepares technical contract specifications for cranes/gangways.
• Manages rental of container cranes by stevedores and all crane operations.
• Provides crane/gangway budget forecast and revenue projections and manages budget.
• Determines short and long-range maintenance, repair and capital improvement requirements for cranes/gangways.
• Interfaces with terminal operators, stevedores and carriers regarding crane performance, maintenance, rental and billing.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Seven years of experience in the maintenance or repair of computer driven heavy mechanical/hydraulic systems, four years of which must have been in container crane maintenance work. Two years of the container crane experience must have involved line supervision of experienced level technicians.
• Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) must be possessed or obtained immediately after hiring.
