Our North American operation is expanding its service network and as a result has immediate openings in the Pacific Northwest for qualified Field Service Engineers. This exciting opportunity provides both a competitive salary and benefits package.
Job Description for Field Service Engineer
Responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of NAV/COMM products/equipment in the marine electronics industry. Provides guidance to junior technicians, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, facilitates the ordering of parts and replaces parts as needed. Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs. Requires an FCC GMDSS Operators/Maintainers License, and 2-6 years of experience in the NAV/COM field service realm. Must be familiar with all IMO Performance Standards, SOLAS Chapter 5 Regulations, and IEC 60945 as it relates to Maritime NAV/COMM and ICT equipment on a vessel. Must have a good knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures within the marine industry.
