Wartsila North America, Inc., a global marine and energy company, is seeking Project Engineer/Sales Support for Houston, TX office.

Job Description:
Supervise execution of projects per specifications. Assist internal and external customers on procurement and specifications of components to execute repairs and system upgrades. Design and/or improve plant/engine components. Supervise personnel during job execution. Participate in the development of new products, promote company products and services. Provide internal and external work reports. Manage material procurement, track costs and time usage. Provide technical support to customers on Wartsila products.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent based on education and/or experience in electrical engineering (foreign equivalent acceptable) plus 5 years related experience as: mechanical/electrical engineer on Wartsila diesel engines or propulsion; or 5 yrs related mechanical/ electrical technical experience on Wartsila power plants; or 5 yrs mechanical/electrical maintenance experience on large industries or refinery. Travel required up to 50% of the time (Domestic and International). Availability to work on call based company/customer needs, including weekends.
Required Technical knowledge:
Strong ability to read and understand Mechanical and Electrical drawings; Strong knowledge of Wartsila diesel engine types and other Wartsila products ; Strong knowledge of the Wartsila Engine Control Systems (WECS 2000, 3000, 7000, 7500 & 8000), Universal Integrated Controls (UNIC C1, C2, C3), Wartsila engines W26, W32, WV32, W46, W34SG, W50DF); Strong knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller programming & troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Modicon, Simens S7, Automation Direct); Strong ability to analyze and solve product related Mechanical/ Electrical problems; Including Woodward governors, load sharing and load control systems, Automatic Voltage Regulators. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Visio, Siemens Step 7, Concept 2.6XL, SAP, DirectSoft, RSLogix 5000, Beijer Information Designer, Beijer IX Developer, Wonderware InTouch V10. Configuration software WECSplorer, ADT.
