Reports to: Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Start Date: Immediate
Lead sales efforts in Asia-Pacific region for maritime services provider. Penetrate highly competitive market for maritime communication services in commercial shipping market segment.
Duties:
• Responsible for sales of communication services and hardware to commercial shipping vessel/fleet owners and operators
• Direct and oversee development of direct and indirect sales channels, including regional partnerships and local affiliates. Includes development of local resellers, agents and partners in key countries/ports
• Develop and execute strategies for identifying potential customers for company products and services. Includes development of customer database for contact management
• Manage all aspects of customer solicitation and acquisition process, including development of proposals/solutions, contracting and implementation
• Act as primary liaison for customers, throughout sales, design and implementation phases
• Responsible for resolution of issues, ongoing sales management and contract renewals
• Represent the company in industry events, panels and conferences
Required Experience/Knowledge:
? Expert sales knowledge of commercial maritime markets. Included maritime communications, electronics, support and services
? Experience in service solution sales, including marketing strategies, sales channel development and customer management
? Experience in developing and managing international sales activities in Asia-Pacific region
? Experience with satellite/VSAT solutions preferred
? Minimum of 5-7 years experience in maritime sales
? Minimum 3-5 years experience managing sales channels

• Travel required (estimate) 50+%
Required Education:
B.S. in Marketing/related field.
