MAINTENANCE ENGINEER- wanted to work on the ocean in Alaska on a 230’ fishing vessel that catches, processes, and freezes fish. You must be willing to leave home to work 2 months on and 2 months off to train and work in maritime maintenance.
Requirements:
• Ability to overcome seasickness and homesickness,
• Minimum of 1 year experience/education in the food, automation, or industrial automation industry.
• Needs mechanical background and knowledge of maintenance of pumps and motors
• Basic electrical skills (high and low voltage),
• Ability to read schematics,
• Understand and know how to troubleshoot VFDs and PLCs,
• Comprehend engines and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
*Good pay and engineering training in the maritime industry.
