Job Description
DNV Petroleum Services (DNVPS) is the foremost name in marine fuel management, commanding over 70 per cent world-wide market share for contracted Fuel Quality Testing services. We are also a major provider of Bunker Quantity Surveys.

DNVPS operates a global network of customer service offices and five specialist fuel laboratories strategically located in Singapore, Rotterdam, Oslo, Houston and Fujairah. DNVPS has both the competence and infrastructure to assist ship operators with total fuel management solutions, delivering measurable improvements to risk management, cost and operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Major Duties:

- Evaluation of laboratory results from the analysis of marine fuel oils (bunkers) according to international specifications and timely reporting the findings to company`s customers
- Provide technical commentary and advice on safe use of bunker fuels and efficient engine operation when using the fuel oil in question
- Conduct technical training courses
- Onboard / site visits to ships and power plants
- Consultancy related to marine fuel oil management
- Prepare technical articles for marine publications
- General contribution towards the development of company products and services
- Maintenance of company`s technical database

Qualifications:

- Preferably a Chief Engineer`s certificate of competency (or Marine Engineering Degree)
- Minimum 5 years sea-going experience as a Second Engineer, or experience as a Marine Surveyor, or relevant experience from the bunkering/refining/petrochemical industries
- Possess good understanding of fuel treatment and centrifuge systems onboard
- Quality-conscious, team player, good communication skills
- Computer literate in MS Office applications
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
