We are looking for an Operations Engineer for our clients 2 -Stroke Delivery Centre

Your future
In this challenging position you investigate into operational problems on engines, either on test bed or in service, develop solutions in close co-operation with Engineering, licensees and Research and Development. You make on board visits in order to identify the root causes of technical problems on customer vessels. It is your task to document, report and propose solutions to these root causes. In co-ordination with the Customer Assistance Centre, Product Care Management and the Engineering Department, you work closely together with all teams to find suitable and effective solutions in order to solve problems quickly. Co-operating closely with the CAC team, you help providing structured feedback of their identified root causes. Furthermore you have the chance to participate in the development and continuous improvement of processes as well as procedural methods for the Operations and Analysis team, with special attention to ensuring a consistent and effective information capture and feedback process. You report to the Head of Engineering or Team Leader Design Engineering.
Your profile
BSc in marine or mechanical engineering (or similar)
Extensive experience with Wartsila engines including field and / or technical service
Distinct problem solving abilities
Experience in root cause analysis
Project management experience
Service-oriented attitude
Team player
Structured working method
Fluent in English and German
